US signals possible weekend strike on Iran as Gulf drawdowns widen
US signalling shifted from post-midterm planning toward possible near-term action against Iran after Ambassador Tom Barrack said a strike "absolutely" could come this weekend. CNN reported quiet embassy drawdowns at six more posts, and WSJ reported US tanker and airlift aircraft leaving Gulf bases, though the pattern also fits force protection. Trump said "I don't know anything about that" but kept his "deal or another Epic Fury" binary. Brent closed at $117.30.
