Qatar carries draft interim US-Iran deal to Tehran as Trump rules out post-midterm strikes
A draft interim US-Iran agreement is with both sides, Reuters reported, and a Qatari team led by Ali al-Thawadi, senior adviser to Qatar's prime minister, flew to Tehran on 2 Nov to discuss it with Foreign Minister Araghchi. Asked whether he would strike Iran after the midterms, Trump said "No." WTI settled at $96.46 in one of the war's largest daily falls. But Tehran insists on its seven conditions, and attacks in Hormuz continued.
